CHHATTISGARH STATE FORMED

The formation of the state was a culmination of decades of mass mobilisations. Even though it was meant to address the aspirations of the majority Adivasis, little has changed for them. Instead, massive state violations of their rights continue including official arming of civilians to “deal with” the Maoist “menace”.
